LIFE MUSINGS #7

Sometimes from sorrow, for no reason I let myself sink and settle, as a heavy anchor, to meet it fully.

What does sorrow feel like? Where is it resting in my body? What does it want me to know? Can I be still and hold space for the sorrow and let it breathe? To study and learn from it? Can I embrace the sorrow and know that, it, like everything else, is just passing through? Can I respond to my sorrow, with an ever-present loving Awareness instead of responding from it as if I was born in sorrow’s womb? To hold the sorrow - in the soft palm of my hand as I would hold a small delicate bird - and trusting in its own timing that its Iridescent wings expand, lift up and away... continuing on its journey. ~ Kathy Julien
